Not great tennis - lots of mistakes from Robin - although the wind can't have been a surprise !

Eden served for the set, and had at least one SP, but couldn't take it

Back on serve, Robin playing a fair bit better

However, as steven would say, receiving for the set is always easier - and she took it on her fourth SP (I made it)

Eden has broken again to take the first set.

I have to say from the camera position, Nottingham is not very spectator friendly.

 Yes - it's a nice day, there's plenty of room, specially on the left-hand side as we're looking at it, where the grass is

But no chairs put out, no stands, nothing, just one picnic table

Seems really weird for a final - and with a GB woman playing

Great news. I'm so pleased for her.

She'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the points to be added but when they are she should be up to a career high of around 360.

That is an amazing win, not only did her opponent have a higher ranking and career high she also had a junior career high of 2, which implies she's a high flier expected to beat higher ranked opponents on the way up. After this title I imagine we will be seeing Eden in higher ranked events in the near future. smile
