 Usual LTA ageist policy!

They are ageist, it's sure. But I don't think that's why with Anna. After all, Lauryn and others have had wildcards and she's a similar age.
I think Anna is out of favour simply because she got a fair bit of attention as a youngster and then chucked it all in
The LTA sulk. They don't like it.
Mind you, i don't rate Anna that highly either so I have no real problem in practice this time

The BJ King cup tie against the Czech Republic reminds one that Anna beat the top seed Marketa Vondrousova in the 1st round of junior Wimbledon 2015. As with Emma beating Vondrousova at Wimbledon it was on grass and not clay.

Looks like the juniors have them

Ranah, Mimi, Jasmine and Isabelle  or Talia. The latter may be injured or Mimi may be holding back for grass.

Pretty thin entry this week for the Brits - looks like just Eden and the wild cards in the main draw, so lets hope we get some qualifiers through.

That could be a challenge as well as only Freya is seeded to get through - lets hope some surpass their ranking!

Emma and Anna look to be our best chance of qualifiers. Although in Anna's section is Wong who beat Jodie in the W25 Pretoria the other week and got to the SF before the tournament was abandoned.

Doesn't look good if we are relying on Freya !
