Week 15 - ITF W25 - Nottingham, GB Hard

Jodie has 4 previous titles, a couple at W25 level but just one in Dubai last year. Like the mens weekenders, a title this week would be a good career milestone, at home and first title in over 12 months (Dubai was March 2021).

And lost the second set too, 6-3

She had an MTO early in the second set (left knee? left hip? Difficult to tell but physio definitely focusing on thereabouts)

Didn't play too badly - but pretty well beaten, score was fair.

Makes Talia's 5&5 loss to her in R1 look even better

It does, talia gave her a good battle. Especially as she also had a MTO at 5-2 up in the second. Pulled her glute/hamstring. No Brits left unfortunately.

Eudice Chong went on to win both the singles and doubles titles with a 6-2 win over Jana Fett who retired at the end of the first set.
