Well done to Anna. For whatever reasons being continually asked to work through qualifying in home tournaments for now but now into the MD.

Not so good for Freya meeting her, though as said her form has generally been very poor for some time so she would probably have been at risk from more than Anna.

I watched the second half of the match and it was dire. All Dani had to do was keep the ball in court and there were errors galore.

The quality was dire. I've seen better quality in junior G5 qualifiers.

Just caught the tie breaker and the quality was decent. I didn't think Jasmine was going to win that, but she came to the net a lot and put pressure on her opponent.

Really pleased for Dani - I like her, and her perseverance, and application.

And didn't see any of the match but have never really rated Julie B so am very pleased that Jasmine managed to impose herself too.

Nice work from both (and Emma too)

(To be clear, should mention that the FFT rated Julie pretty highly, as one of their most promising youngsters - she got a wildcard into Roland Garros qualis, I seem to remember, and Roland Garros main draw for the doubles)

Well done Alice in that set. She was totally out of it a set and a break down but plugged away.

Rain falling and they are desperately out towelling lines I guess to try and finish this tonight.

Was very surprised to find this was an outdoor tournament!

Although looking at the forecast this week, I wouldn't be surprised if it mostly isn't...
