Looking ahead to April, the counting period will include:

ATP - Monte Carlo M1000 and Barcelona M500
WTA - Charleston W500 (on now), Stuttgart W500 ( Madrid starts before the period ends, but finishes quite a few days afterwards and I am counting it as in May, which itself will only be a 3 week period due to RG)
ITF - 2 x British mens and womens ITF M/W25 events during the period.
Juniors - U18 and U16 Nationals right now , and the J2 in Aldershot

So quite a lot to feed into this plus many other ITF, ATP, WTA, Junior and also Wheelchair events

Just realised we are hitting the end of week 1 of 4 - with Tara in Bogota doubles, and Juniors at the NTC to perhaps bother our thought processes here.

Just in case anyone is interested in getting the ball rolling this weekend!

British domestic action for the next two weeks and junior nationals, should see some of the second tier names dominate our nominations this month as the top players struggle with clay! Could make April very interesting

I feel Maia deserves a nom for winning the UK Pro League this week in her first tournament back from having long covid.

Decided it might be useful to have one liners next to each player saying why they are nominated. As the month progresses, if someone does even more in the month, we can always add comments.

As we approach half way in this month , we have still some decent action left this week - 5 men and women in Nottingham singles, 2 men in Italy singles, 2 men in Monte Carlo doubles and u16 junior singles nationals.

Remember to put your nomination in the list above and post a new post below with the updated list - and , if possible, add a 1 liner with the reason for the nomination

Thanks
