She meant Jodie is next on court, not that Lily will play Jodie next. wink

Carole's tennis and game is much as it always has been, and as per previous post.

Jodie has the first set 6-4

But Carole will never give up, will continue to irritate, and Jodie will have to remain focused on her own style of game

Great news about Lily. Babos is obviously not at the top of her game, and seems to have put her doubles on the backburner as well, but that's still a nice win. It does sound strange seeing Lily ranked higher than her.

It is top seed Tessah A up next for her who has had a really good start to the year, and won 6-2 6-3 when they last met 5 months ago, so that will indeed be tough.

Tessah looked in trouble for a short while in the final set of her match - survived 5 break points in a 19 minute 22 point opening game.

Loses 7-5 on a huge double. Sigh. Monnet played that one pretty smart, standing miles back, hustling, retrieving everything. Not a good result though, albeit not a surprise really.
