And hats off to Kecmanovic as well - he reached AO last 16, IW last 8 and now last 8 here in Miami. That is a consistent haul of points and will be with him for a long time to come of course.
He is live ranked 38 but 15th on the Race and 750 or so of his 1200 points came in first 3 months of 2022; he will be top 20 in no time at all, and could be a threat for top 10 the way he is consistently going.
Francisco Cerundolo through to last 8 or almost certainly
Yes, I noticed that and I was like "who he?"
Has a brother who also plays the tour. but a big surprise to reach this far!
Francisco does not have an entry in the 2022 ATP Media Guide . However his younger brother Juan Manuel does. The father Alejandro also played pro tennis.
Alcaraz has beaten Hurkacz, so on Monday, Cameron will be only the 4th British man ever to make the top 10 of the ATP singles rankings, 9 years to the month since he switched to GB, when his junior career high was 10, which is where it would stay - I don't expect his senior career high to get stuck at the same number

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Did anyone else watch Kecmanocvic v Alcaraz in the small hours last night. It was a treat. I never planned to stay up but it was so absorbing.
Two form players and ones to watch .
This late night watching is becoming a habit. I watched last nights Alcaraz v Hurkacz - that kid is so clever to tip it in the end. i used to focus so much on only watching British players or certain favourites but just watching for the tennis is very enjoyable I am finding.
