When Dellien dropped out, the draw really opened for Paul, great if he can take advantage and make the semi!

Paul beat Casanova in Santiago two weeks back, 3 sets but it was a wta style score line. I think Paul will have hardened since then so got to hope he can win again.

When is the French open qualies cut off? Paul is up to mid 270s now, live, I think, so not far off making the cut  - if he's enough room to make up the final few places

Ha. Out of interest, is there a decent resource that show historic cut offs for events and qualies? I realise it is typically in the 230-250 range but if anyone has some historical data or lists of slam cut offs , I would be very interested - I have searched some of the usual suspect sites and struggling to find anything!

I am guessing Jubby is aiming at around 250 to get in to French qualies? And Ryan as well presumably?

Jubby won the opening set 6-3, 2-4 second set though. Going similar to their match two weeks ago.

Nicely done; like yesterday, and despite going behind in the second, he was reasonably well within himself, it always looked as though he was going to win.

QF: Paul Jubb WR 296 def. Hernan Casanova (ARG) WR 315 6-3 7-6(4)

Excellent and takes Paul to live 264, a 32 place rise this week alone.

Paul next plays Dutra Da Silva, a lucky loser.
