Looks like we have an LTA arranged trip to the Dominican  Republic for a G2 event as they have 2 G2 in consecutive weeks.

Mixed fortunes in the first matches to complete - Louis posting a win, but Matt unfortunately retiring. Talia has a tough looking draw against a girl who has won quite a lot of matches here (W25/W15/G3)

Contrasting fortunes for the boys and the girls here.

Patrick Brady goes out against the fourth seed and Phoenix is beaten comprehensively 6-1, 6-1.

Talia wins in three against the fourth seed. Ella similarly wins in three against the seventh seed. Mingge also gets a straight sets win. Isabelle yet to play.

As Harriet Dart says re points etc in juniors:

"You get so caught up with being the best 14-year-old or 15-year-old when it really means nothing. It's more about improving your game, developing yourself as an athlete".

Easy win for Isabelle, 6-0, 6-1 against Maria Gell but unfortunately has to play the number 1 seed, WR 14 in the second round. Interesting challenge for her though.

Matt Rankin's injury must be quite serious as they withdrew from the doubles.
