Quite possible fatigue set in. She played as many matches here as she did winning each title and this was on clay. I'd argue it may have played a part in the one-sided scoreline.
Yeah, that was my first thoughts too. I mean, it could have easily been the good youngster just being far too good on the day, but Sonay was the 4/6 favourite, so not some big outsider, and this was also Shnaider's first main draw of the year after losing in quals thus far, including twice at Antalya, and 3-6 1-6 in Q1 last week, so I would definitely have been expecting a much closer scoreline based on recent form. This was both their 6th match in 6 days, but Diana had only dropped 10 games combined in her two main draw matches, whereas Sonay was pushed very close in hers, so it possibly / probably played a part.
Still a very good tournament for her though, another 5 wins, and hopefully she will chip away at her ranking and soon be avoiding overseas W25 quals. A good day for her as well with the BJK call up - you've got to think she will be fairly high up the radar in terms of grass WCs if she's already in the BJK squad.
Is Shnaider the one who often where's bandana headbands in the juniors, or I am thinking of someone else?
I suspect the youngster was just too good. In the previous round she beat the top seed (ranked 149) 4 &1 which suggests she has the ability to play top 100 standard. She will probably win the final.

Hmm, one match score. But yes she may have been just too good.
A shame her winning streak had to end but five straight wins on clay is a great achievement for any British player. If 2021 was Emma's year 2022 already looks good for Sonay.
