Apparently Djoko hasnt withdrawn so IW had to put him in draw, even though they dont expect he will get CDC approval to enter the country. He is on their We Miss You list - so unfair on the player who would have got in next and assuming he withdraws it really makes a hash of that bottom section where Andy is placed.
Djoko showing zero respect for the other players here, theres no way he will get in unless he has gone and got himself jabbed
Liam losing quite a few points this week and coming weeks, around 20 percent of his total. Could do with some big results. No pressure. Live rankings show him down to 130 currently.

Jay also losing similar proportion of his.
Liam's next match is worth a decent number of points. Not just the extra 8 for winning but also a guaranteed 10 more for 1st round losers. So victory over O'Connell guarantees him 26 points and a decent pay day.
Sods law will then be at risk of coming into play though as Andy Murray is down to play a qualifier - unless the Djokovic situation completely disrupts that section of the draw.
Speaking as a criminal law lecturer, I can say that he is liable for both and an assault and an attempted battery.
An assault is intentionally or recklessly causing another to apprehend immediate unlawful personal violence.
An attempted battery is doing an act which is more than merely preparatory to inflicting unlawful force (force being the merest touch) with an intention to inflict unlawful force.

Thanks KK - does it require the injured party / victim to register a complaint to the authorities, or can anyone seeing it do that, or can the authorities see it on TV, say, and determine if it is in the public interest (and what would be the legal jurisdiction for something happening in Mexico by a German - could it be taken up by, say, the US authorities if the ATP are legally registered there, or would it need to be German or Mexican or, indeed, wherever the victim was from??

Good point re the jurisdiction. I have no idea what the law is in Mexico and as any offences committed would be minor ones they could not be prosecuted elsewhere (unlike murder for example.) I suppose the initial point made was that doping is an offence and what Zverev did was not, to which the reply by Coup Droit was that what he did is an offence in the UK. I would be surprised if it were not also an offence in the USA and it is this that I think should be taken into account by the ATP in deciding its sanction.
