coverage fine for first set but now its really annoying just crackles and no commentary

It's fine on the main coverage Marky. I was annoyed, I was like 20 mins behind and it suddenly went awful, so had to watch the main coverage and it's fine there, but I have missed 3 or 4 games. I'm watching live now.

Martic did deserve it on balance I think.

Shame Emma couldn't serve it out, but its still small steps and Garcia and Martic are proper seasoned talented pros. Miami should suit her game better.

Yes, as I said there was plenty encouragement there, win or lose.

The good is still very good and more consistency should return. And Martic is indeed no slouch.

On to Miami.

Well I only saw the last couple of games, and I'm sure she was pretty tired, but it did seem like she lost those games on UEs.

Onwards and upwards, but it does kind of highlight Emma's almost unrealistic ranking, and the huge ask of playing at this level continually without some easier games to get her rhythm. Gutted for her though.

Shame. Not an enjoyable watch. Emma just needs to sharpen her focus and get fitter, which will happen.

I'd be frustrated if she'd choked at *5-4 but she served pretty well and Martic won the game. Was a bit flat after that but that's not a huge surprise.

She's still adding to the points and experience. Will have plenty more years in Tennis Paradise.

Of course she's massively overranked from one event. But she's absolutely a top 60 player which I don't think any of us would have said 12 months ago (we'd have all said she could/would be in time I'm sure, but not at this point).

Also feels like she's got a proper team around her now after the post-US Open issues. So a few months of that set up will hopefully really get her settled and motoring again.
