Did I delete it? As you can all probabbly tell I can't multitask or spell. I'm 136 years old (also 3 months and 4 days today). I've litterally just discovered the *, which makes reporting scores a lot easier. Some one could have mentioned I wasn't using it (smiley face icon)

Btw now Amazon shows pretty much everything, do I need to put score updates / probably incorrect updates?

Oy Jiwan, youre 3 and a half months younger than me, dont say things like that wink

I got in bed and saw on Flash Scores that Harriet was 2-0 up in the third and with not working today felt it an opportunity not to be missed....was up till 2.25am but well worth it! Harriet did play really well although youve got to feel a bit sorry for Elina with the situation going on in her homeland.

I agree Priesty about sadness for Svitolina, but I wish I could have stayed up for the match. Ill

watch a bit on replay but its not the same really When you know the result.

Watching Emmas was just wonderful and the most I have been absorbed in a match for a long time and a welcome distraction.

Great news to wake up to !!!

Yes, sorry for Elina but, on the other hand, she has SO much more important things to worry about than a tennis match - it's not like one lost match is really going to make any difference.

And what a thrill for Harriet

Brilliant

If Harriet wins her next match she will live ranked 99 and no one can catch her.

Kanepi next. Hopefully Harriet will have that one covered.

Fabulous results to wake up to. I wouldn't have been all that surprised if they had both lost, but two wins is tremendous.
I was out last night, so going to watch a few games of both on catch-up now.

Delighted for Emma, to tired to stay up for Harriets match. How did Emma end up with such a grizzly looking support team? I dont watch a huge amount of womens tennis, but it seems there are very few women as part of the women players entourage?

Harriet has a chance against Kanepi if she can defend and soak up the pace enough. Her ability to redirect the ball is brilliant, especially down the line. If Kanepi is in fire Harriet will find it tough, but if she can hang in and force KK to go for a bit much or start getting flustered she's got a shot. Amazing week regardless.

Great couple of results.  I'm guessing that defeat of Svitolina must place pretty high up Harriet's career best wins.

Indian Wells WTA 1000 R2: Wow! What a win for (Q) @harriet_dart, who battles from a set and a break down to take a career best ranking scalp by some distance and become GB no. 2 in the live rankings, upsetting no. 12 seed Elina Svitolina UKR WR 18 (CH 3 in 2017) 2-6 6-3 6-3!

Wonder if this will be the moment for Harriet when it all clicks. Thats an amazing result, a shame in a lot of ways that it doesnt get much of a ranking rise. A win over Kanepi next however would make a difference and she would be guaranteed to break the top 100 as well.
