Andy Roddick is also the last American man to win  a Slam singles back in 2003.

One thing though is that much as I like Andy R, I too am a bit surprised that he has come out so high.

It leaves me even more wondering if I have been a fair bit pessimistic with my initial #60 estimate for Muzza.

No.79 Is David Ferrer. Not on my list and a player I would never have thought of.

A name I know but know nothing about until reading this. I am afraid she was not near my top 50 list at all!

the two French titles she won in 1938 and 39 were with a very depleted field as the events clashed with Wimbledon and players had to choose in those years, and she took advantage. The war also curtailed her career though and she actually participated in it as a Captain.

Interesting story

Given how many surprises there have been so far can we guess by now some big names are likely to miss out?

Im sure a few will- I made a list of the top 25 men and top 25 women I expected to see, a de facto top 50, so far only 1 has been named (Shirley fry) but I dont expect all the other 49 to be left. I actually said 26 women in a top 51 as I had Naomi Osaka on the edge and eventually decided that although she has 4 slams, her longevity and lack of consistency at the top would count against her.

Given it's in the main part an algorithm combining algorithms it's difficult to see any big names ( in the sense of having big time winning history ) missing out big style. Might though shed a slightly different light on relative achievements compared to how many of us rate them in our memories.
