Did anyone else hear the pre-match announcements recorded by Heather? Has any other player/tournament done something similar?

 No, what was she saying?

Just the usual stuff about no flash photography and breaks between sets, but for some reason they got Heather to record it. Not sure if they got the other players to do it for their own matches or if Heather's done it for the whole tournament.

And a TB win this time. 6-3 2-6 7-6(4). smile

A very good WTA evening for the GB girls.

Heather gets beyond the 1st round?!?  Yay!

From the WTA website, other than her win in the R128 at the Australian open, she had fallen at the first hurdle of the preceding 7 tournaments she had qualified for (6 if you discount Chicago where she retired).

Well done, Elina

After the tennis authorities merely banned Russian and Belarusian players from playing under the name and flag of their countries, Elina ended up playing and winning that R1 match for her country.
