I think they would have walked that second set if they had made a few more first serves, even though it was still 50%.
Good to see the fans queuing up for autographs !

So to summarise

QF:- Ulrikke Eikeri (NOR)/ Samantha Murray Sharan (GBR) CR164 (43+121) def Eri Hozumi (JPN) / Makoto Ninomiya (JPN) CR79 (47+32) [1] 5+7 7-5 10-5
QF:- Alicia Barnett (GBR) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR307 (147+160) def Anna-Lena Friedsam (GER) / Nicola Geuer (GER) ??? (74+UNR/CH91 in 2017) 6-0 6-4

SF:- Ulrikke Eikeri (NOR)/ Samantha Murray Sharan (GBR) CR163 (44+119) v Alicia Barnett (GBR) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR307 (147+160)

110 points and 3,064 euros (per pair) for reaching the SF, 180 points and 5,080 euros to the winners of that match.

And in the up to date live rankings on LTR, the standings are

104 Tara 863 pts
108 Sam 834 pts
128 Hev 652 pts
137 Lissey 611 pts
142 Eden 606 pts
152 Liv 569 pts
154 Harriet 565 pts
156 Beth 560 pts

Another win and Sam could move top (indeed Heather could also move back to the top with a winning week). Both Sam and Heather could also get top 100, Tara would fall just short

 lets update that then:

104 Tara 863 pts

108 Sam 834 pts

128 Lissey 661 pts

130 Hev 652 pts

139 Liv 619 pts

144 Eden 606 pts

154 Harriet 565 pts

156 Beth 560 pts

Bondar deserved that set, her ground game both in attack and defense look more impressive. Her serve is strong too

Katie looks a bit distressed during her medical time out.

Katie has retired, it's a real shame that the two Katies bodies never seem to hold up for very long. :(

What a shame, but I'm sure she's learned her lesson not to continue playing with an injury, so very wise.

Was it a foot injury ? I changed over from the doubles and missed it (didn't have the sound on)

I think so. May well be a plantar fasciitis injury looing at the strapping and the way the physio was trying to manipulate the soul of the foot. But hard to see exactly. If so the right decision to withdraw as they can be tricky injuries to heal and you don't want to inflame it.

Poor Katie, I fear she'll never get to fulfill her potential.

Has Sam played against Lissey and/or Liv before in doubles?

30 shot rally for Sam+ at match point down *4-5 sudden death. Couple of great reactions from Eikeri but the Japs should have put away the smash.

Sam twice beat Alicia & Olivia late last year quite easily.
