Katie has retired, it's a real shame that the two Katies bodies never seem to hold up for very long. :(

Poor Katie, I fear she'll never get to fulfill her potential.

Has Sam played against Lissey and/or Liv before in doubles?

Sam and Jessika Ponchet beat Lissey and Liv in the final of the W60 in Nantes in November.

Also in the SF (with Bolkvadze) of the W80 in Nantes the week before.

Sam has partnered pretty well every Brit you can think of in the last three or four years, including Lissey and Liv

Seems like France is the place to be for Sam versus Lissey and Liv

Sam+ were 6-0 *4-1 up.

Back to *5-4. Lissey and Liv up 0-40, eventually break saving the sudden death match point.

5-5

Small but noisy crowd are really into this.

Proof you're never more than 15mins away from turning a tennis match around, especially in doubles.

Sam+ broke and served for it again, but ended up in a tiebreak. They led *5-3 only for Lx2 to win the next 4 points.

0-6 7-6(5) 0-0*

Very easy MTB for Lissey and Liv 10-3. Eikeri fell apart.

So pleased for them, they were quite emotional going back to their chairs. What a moment. But goodness, Sam will be sore about that one, really shouldn't have lost that lead.

Mss Barnett and Nicholls kindly request your attendance for the final or at least turn up before it gets too hairy.

I had it on in the background, but wasn't really watching.
I jumped on a call expecting Sam to cruise through in straight sets being well ahead in set 2 and it all changed....

Please for Lissey and Livvy

Lissey was so pumped when they won that first game and 0-6 1-4, really positive attitude.

The frustrating thing for the girls now is that there are so few WTA events in the coming months for them to try and continue at this level.

I certainly intend to watch if I can. The other half of the draw is a round behind, so I'm assuming the final will be Saturday at the earliest.

Lissey moves ahead of Heather in the live rankings (Coric), although that will change if Heather wins her match tonight.

They really have seized their chance this week with both hands.

Was Olivia injured last year? IIRC Lissey won a couple of tournaments with other partners as well, hence the higher ranking.

Have really enjoyed this doubles event

I like Lyon - as someone said, it's had a good atmosphere.

And being rather of the Jaggy persuasion, I've rather surprised myself in how much I've liked the dubs this week.

Didn't see the end of today's match.

Am surprised Lis & Liv won but, hey, that's tennis

Will definitely try and watch tomorrow

They might get thrashed but it's been such a good week, and real feel-good feel to it.

Of course, being a WTA250 event, it is available on catch-up on Prime. I'm pretty sure they will have a day off tomorrow as the other semi-final has still to be played.
