14 year old Brenda Fruhvitova has qualified here, beating Errani in one of her qualies .

Same little section as Emma s in, as is Sloane, so possible rematch there from last month.

Bit eggy for the other girls if they lose to a 14 year old though !. Must be limited to events entered presumably ?.... if Sloane loses this she be slaughtered on TF, ha

14 year olds are limited to 8 tournaments, of which 3 can be ITF 60K to 100K. They can not enter WTA tournaments as a direct entry, but can play one WTA250 tournament as a WC and a WTA125 as another WC.

Stephens beat Fruhvirtova by 6-2 6-2. Potential QF opponent for Emma.

Eden going Mexico -> Dubai -> Mexico -> France is quite the way to rack up some air miles.

Yes regarding the above comment particularly when its doing nothing for her ranking. Very strange scheduling indeed, makes no obvious sense. Should really be targeting 25k tournaments to get the ranking into the 300s.

Bit strange. Eden did look to be in Mexico for the initial 25K at least partly because of the upcoming WTA tour events and doubles possibilities there.

Looks as if maybe the Dubai doubles was a late WC opportunity that came up and she's decided to commute back and forth.

It's not strange. She's just taking every opportunity to play a WTA she can in an attempt to further her career. The three events she has entered were her only chances to play a WTA that week.
