I think it's sensible not to play this week. She's 16, the tournament follows immediately on from Birmingham and we've seen enough youngsters have long term injuries. Plus it's half term, maybe the family had plans
Talia's performance wouldn't have been known when wild cards were selected
Rulebook Wild Cards for singles must be named by the Wednesday before the Tournament starts, except in the case of $60,000, $80,000 and $100,000 tournaments, for which two Wild Cards may be named at the time the Draw is made,

Is it half term? Where i live its next week but I know it varies

It's half term this week in Surrey and London, not sure where her family is based but either way back to back tournaments at her age and with her lack of experience at this level are probably not a good idea
Sorry, its probably discussed above so Im asking a silly question - after her run last week, why is Talia N-G not in this weeks event?
As said previously on the other thread last week, I didn't think she'd be here.
It's very likely she's got a bit of fatigue, feeling a niggle, whatever. And there's absolutely nothing really to be gained from pushing it. She's also had a lot of injuries. Her parents and her team are very sensible to not put her forward, if that's the reason. It's nothing like the 20 year-olds, say, who are planning their year around the UK ITFs, and need every point-earning opportunity they can get.

yeh, sorry, I hadnt really read the detail on the wildcard thread to be honest
Nadia lost 4 and 2, respectable score. Anna and Jasmine have just got underway (Jasmine held after having to save at least 1 BP, maybe more). I'm interested to see how the all Brit match goes, but tomorrow looked the better day.
