Jasmine has had to retire.

It's been a great week for her. But she's played a lot of tennis. So good idea to stop if need be.

I saw the first half of the first set - it was close but the Czech girl was just slightly in charge.

Hope she's OK.

Shame for Jasmine. I didn't see any of the match, but did turn it on to see her walking off post retirement. Great week for her as CD says. 3 2 hour plus matches in a row coming into this one, including almost 3 hours vs Anna B the other day, so possibly the matches catching up, but a fab win yesterday, and her biggest points haul to date is good going.

Jodie is NB 11.30am, so still a few mis before she comes on court. Hopefully she comes through fine, but might not as straightforward as it might look (vs an unranked qualifier on paper). I couldn't believe Bet365 had Stresnakova 9/2 or 5.50 about an hour ago, but I see she has since come into 7/2 or 4.50 - possibly the work of people on here biggrin (not me...).

Such a shame, but a great week for Jasmine. Where will her ranking rise to after this?

For the 'unpatriotic' , and looking at odds for results, betting against Jodie is only trumped by betting against Naiktha

But, no, no flutter against Jodie today

NB Hev is playing in Doha too - 5-5 - but can't find a thread for it?

ive put one up CD although someone else can do the details!!

PS you do know how to start a thread? You just click Start a New Topic at the top, when you are in that specific folder eg womens? For a new tournie, it is easiest to copy the heading from a previous week and change the details as needed?

Sorry if you know that!!!

Jodie has been behind in every set so far - *2-5 and 0-3* vs Pemra, and 3-5* and 0-3* vs the Swedish girl yesterday, but has found a way to win all 4 sets - she'll need to do that again to win the opener here, as it's *1-3 early in the early stages.

Well, it's been a bit of a struggle but Jodie has finally got the first set 6-4

As Ace said, Jodie keeps coming from behind. Breaks again for 6-4

Jodie looks well on her way, now 6-4 3-0*, so she has won 9 of the last 10 games since my earlier post. I have the stream loaded but haven't really been watching much, but I see Stresnakova is currently lying face down having a MTO.
