Is everyone's stream working - trying to watch Ranah and continually breaking up.

Jodie won 7-6(7) 6-3. She was a double break down in the second, but won the last 6 games. Good win.

Freya lost her decider.

Top seed Diatchenko in a bit of bother.

 Yes, me too.

It's better on my phone than the computer.

But not great.

(It's been like that before for me too, this week)

But from what I can see on the small screen, Ranah's playing some good tennis

I've always loved her forehand, so much wrist and whip and acceleration - quite different technique from most.

She's well in this match so far...

It must have been quite a relief for Jodie to finally beat Pemra, after losing to her on their three previous meetings.

I can remember her beating Jodie in the Bolton W25 final a few years ago when she was inside the top 100, but she does seem to like the UK W25 scene. She did have an Irish coach, not sure if she still does, so that may have been a factor in her schedule.

It's 5 Peter, although a couple were early on in her career, but yes, absolutely, it's bound to feel great.

So, someone drops out. The Swedish woman gets the LL spot against Thandi - and then Thandi retires are three games :::(((

A good effort from Ranah, but she bows out 6-3 4-6 1-6.

So 3 through to the last 16. Obviously not as good or as exciting as last week, but probably just about as expected, or maybe a tiny bit under par - getting Tara through in addition to what we have would have been decent, and in line with the pre match odds, but then I was thinking Jodie might have had a banana skin given her H2H, and I'd personally rather have had Jodie through of the two, if hypothetically one was to make it, and the other not.

Jodie plays the very lucky LL in R2, so you'd like to think she'd progress further, and hopefully Sonay will as well, but might be a match too far for Jasmine, but fingers crossed for all three.

Edit - I got Ranah's score wrong if anyone saw the post before the edit.

There's just no stopping our Sonay....

And a very respectable looking scoreline for Ranah, I'm sure it was probably experience in the end that made the difference.
