Week 6 - ITF W25 - Birmingham, UK Hard

I think Lauryn's 10 points from here will put her around WR1020, just where Jasmine is on 19 poiunts.

Talia attempting to serve this out at the second time of asking - she'll move on to 10 points if she can.

Absolutely super.

In the battle of the juniors, the GB 16 year-old JWR 183 wins, beating the Czech 17 year-old JWR 24

I thought the points had increased in Dec - 7pts for a first rnd win 13pts for a QF

Brilliant. Massive well done. I knew one of the young'uns was forecasted to play Sonay/Sam in the QF, but that would have been Isabelle.

Wide open draw - Jodie would be a strong favourite for the title if she can come through her match

They did increase for a few months last year, up to December. But this year they are back to 5 points for R2 and 9 for a QF.

Enough though to now see Talia ranked with these 10 points so far from her 2 ITFs.

I wouldn't make Jodie a particularly strong favourite for anything   But it would be good to see her win it.

Sonay 6-2 *4-0 vs Sam.

Jodie 7-5 3-3*

Sonay casually reeling off 9 games in a row to lead 6-2 *4-0. I don't know too much about Lys (potential next opponent), I can remember her winning a W25 a year or two ago, but assuming she comes through this, then Sonay will surely be in fair contention to take the title.

Wow - Sonay wins 6-2 6-0. That's definitely making a statement

Sonay wins
Question - do you give Sonay a 3rd MDWC for next week or make her go through qualifying?
