Jodie Burrage was also on the Q list but both 1st and 2nd seeds are below her in the list so I assume she has been moved to the main draw.

Jodie and Despina were doubles partners last week in Orlando. Jodie isn't playing doubles this week and Despina has a different partner.

 Tara and Emina have been sneaking up the singles rankings all year (2021). Tara needs another win to keep moving up which could be problematical. Her next opponent, Tatjana Maria, will be a different kettle of fish. But still a good win today biggrin

Tara had more break points but couldn't convert them. Break points in 1st set Tara 2/7 her opponent 3/4.

10 break points each now - Maria has taken 5 of them, Tara (who just reduced the deficit in the 2nd set from 2 breaks to 1) 3 - there have been breaks in exactly half of the service games now. 4-6 *2-4

Maria restores her double break advantage immediately and will serve for the match - 4-6 2-5*

Edit: But the breaks aren't over yet - Tara breaks back again 4-6 *3-5

Edit: Tara holds by winning 4 points in a row from 0-30 down - 4-6 4-5*

Edit: Maria holds to win 4&4 - 6 holds & 6 breaks to 4 holds & 4 breaks
