Lucky....I have never been to Queens or Wimbledon....I'd love to go though...been to Indian Wells....but to see Tennis on grass in England....lucky....really really lucky.
I did see Chelsea play at Plough Lane....years ago...before Wimbledon went on that amazing run up to Div 1. Chelsea beat them at Plough Lane I think it was 2-1 the Summer before the 1982/83 season...Kerry Dixon scored....but never saw Wimbledon....
neither philipo and fish deserve really regardless of their success on grass, i believe when giving wildcards out it should be based on their last year's success which is ZERO!!
as for lopez, isn't ranked high enough to get in? or is it because of his 1st rd at FO?
lopez is currently ranked 48 in the world, so he obviulsy forgot to enter or has since change his mind. fish is 12th alt on cut but his WR is would now be high enough to get a DE. Plilipoo, whilst disgusting thats he is still gettign them is no real suprise. he must be earning a decent living off them. i guess whilst its seen as unfair our own players shouldnt expect the wc's as a matter of course either.

That is absolutely dreadful on the part of Queens ! No other tournament gives the majority of its wildcards to players who are not from that country. All I can say is, thank god that Surbiton, Nottingham and Wimbledon have some sense.
Why on earth should Fish get one, ok he's had some success at Nottingham but never at Queens, he's isn't exactly well-known even among tennis enthusiasts. He's only won 4 ATP matches since July 2005.
With the Phillippoussis situation, it's getting ridiculous now. It's almost on a par with the Masters golf offering places to all the past champions. If he was good enough to get back into the top 100, he'd be there now, it's 3 years since he reached the Wimby final. Queens will still be offering him wcs in 5 years time.
i'm really disappointed as there are some promising British players starting to break through plus the resurgence of Martin Lee and it would have been great for 3-4 of them to get a chance here. Now there are only 2 spots, and that's assuming that Queens haven't already offered them to Todd Reid, Donald Young or any other top 100 player who feels like an extra spot of grass court practise but has been to lazy to bother to enter on time.
If the other two wcs go to Brits, who would you choose ?
Boggo has to get one and I'd give the other to Jamie Baker.
i wonder why they havent anounced the other two, maybe they havent been decided and will wait to see developmenst at surbiton, or maybe they went to alex and another brit but it wasnt decided news worthy enough for the bbc, after all they only wright about boggo and the brits downwards when they do something bad.
