15-year-old Ciara Moore reflects on winning the 2022 LTA British Tour Bonus Pool and following in the footsteps of Harriet Dart and Emma Raducanu by playing the #LTABritishTourMasters.

Always nice to have a voice and a face to put to the name - and I learnt that apparently she pronounces her name as 'Kira'

Ciara is a popular Irish language female name and was tenth on the list of most popular names given to baby girls in Ireland in 2006. It is the feminine version of the name Ciarán, meaning "dark-haired", and was also the name of Saint Ciara, a seventh-century Irish saint venerated by the Roman Catholic Church. The name is often anglicized as Keira, Kiara, or Kiera. (Wiki)

Thanks for that, Strongbow - my bad, I'd just assumed 'Ciara' was pronounced like 'Tiara'

And, actually, I know a bloke called Ciaran (pronounced Kieran) so I should have put two and two together..... and didn't no
