And great to see Daniela win it. She's one of the one's I'm really watching (although I've never seen her play).
And given she's 2007, and beat Amelie (2006) very easily (who plays a decent game), that's very promising. (Don't know Heidi but I think she's very young too)
The Tier Two at Corby this week has some interesting players.
Really unfortunately (IMO), Hannah Klugman (wc) - born 2009 - has been drawn against Amalia Widdowson (wc) - born 2008.
A group of girls are down from Glasgow, i.e. Chloe Elliott, Lucy Webber..... And Tabitha Holmes who'd I'd expected to see in the doubles up at Glasgow, given her success in the previous 25ks
Alessia Popescu is on the list for Wednesday but is also playing at Liverpool tomorrow so that seems unlikely unless she loses and then makes a dash .... Same for Lucia Cassidy
In the qualis, we've got plenty from Liverpool, such as Georgiana Mititelu, and Isabella Wong (both real tiddlers) ...
Similar with the men, in the MD, where we've got Glasgow players Miles Groom, Mike Shaw, Kyle Rae, Joe N-Billington etc

Huge shame to see the 2 young wildcards together first round although would be interesting so see, would have preferred late on the draw which would be quite possible considering the entry list. Hannah k would be the strong favourite to win the whole event. the womens events seem to be getting weaker each time which is disappointing as only a couple of higher level players in each draw. The mens draw looks like some good match ups . Seems the stronger females are focusing on itfs leaving the Brit tours for the younger players.
I don't quite understand what goes on with British Tour entries.
The women's draw comes out.
Then there are 7 LL spots (seven!)
AND then another one opens up but there's no one else around so now there's a BYE
Not much different in the men's
Do all these players who drop out lose their inscription fees?
Now, I guess that Glasgow and Liverpool might have affected a few.
But I hope they lose their fees because it's really messing the event round.
There is a window to withdraw and charged £1 or something handling fee. If you withdraw after that then lose thee entry fee ~£25.

I believe under LTA competition regulations they get withdrawal penalty points
Conduct Withdrawal - Points Withdrawal in the period between the Withdrawal deadline and up to 2:00pm on the day before the start of the event - 2 Withdrawal in the period between 2:00pm on the day before the start of the competition and the end of the event - 3 Failing to appear at the competition for a match without having Withdrawn - 5
The first occurrence is recorded but not counted.
Subject to paragraph 11 of this Appendix Eight, when a Player accumulates ten Withdrawal Points within any rolling 12-month period: (a) where the Player has not challenged the imposition of any of those Withdrawal Points pursuant to paragraph 5 of this Appendix Eight, the Player will receive an automatic suspension of: (i) two weeks, for a first application of this paragraph; or (ii) three weeks, for the second application of this paragraph in relation to the same 12-month period; (iii) four weeks, for the third application of this paragraph in relation to the same 12-month period; and (iv) five weeks, for subsequent applications of this paragraph in relation to the same 12-month period.
