Lauryn comes from the East End of London and is a junior I saw play quite a bit (because she was London-based)

A good athlete, a well-rounded game, good ball skills - a lot better than many of her cohort and (IMO) always in the 'interesting' group, if not in a 'stand-out' group.  

She managed to get herself a WTA ranking (of 1067) when still a junior, and to about 200 in juniors itself. 

Her college coach makes a lot of sense when he talks about how he's helped her a lot with tactics etc. 

And this year she's back playing ITF events, after 4 years or so break.

Won a doubles title. 

Made the QF In Greece (losing in the third-set MTB)

And yesterday won her R1 match at the 25k in Bath over a Danish player ranked WTA 460.

And has now just beaten the worlds WTA 375 in singles !

Her 2 successive Nottingham W25 QFs ( and still going this week ) will give her a WTA singles ranking back on Monday and see her into the top 900 in the following rankings on 22/05.

 That's great news. And what with Tiffany, and Dani Daley, and Abi Amos (to be confirmed), all now breaking into the top 1000, and Kristina P back again, I think, the lower level there is looking a lot more healthy.

Also really good to see several black players in that group doing well. And in our junior girls too. It's not relevant in and of itself, but it is great for the sport and for the next generation.

Lauryn has been back playing, after a lengthy lay-off post surgery

She came through qualis and made the QFs in the W35 in April in Austria

Got a QR1 in the W100 in Ilkley

Came through qualis and won her R1 match in the W50 in Nottingham in July

And today came through qualis and won her R1 match in W35 Roehampton, 7-5 6-2, against Beth Grey WR 379

I see that Lauryn didn't take part in any of the GB swing this autumn, and withdrew from entries in November
Injured again ?
Does anyone follow her on social media? Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Lauryn has launched a service to juniors called Game Time Travel to help juniors compete at tournaments when parents have other commitments. She will travel to UK and EU tournaments with junior players to mentor and coach them using her knowledge as an accredited LTA Level 3 coach. Her service will offer just being there to support them or be hands on and coach them.

"I set up Game Time Travel to help give your child the best pathway to success. Every player deserves the chance to compete. Matches are a vital part of player development. And I want to give them that opportunity, just as much as you do."
