Bit of a seesaw match. Katie with the first 5 games, Myers with 5 of the next 6, bit Katie has responded with 5 more in a row, and now serving for the match at 5-3 (although in a tiny bit of trouble here).
Maybe not so much in quals, but I do find it crazy how the pinnacle of the sport there's probably more R1 slam matches without a commentator than with one, yet you can go to any given WTA 250 event, and pretty much every R1 match will have them. Makes a huge difference to the spectacle for me, but I say that every time, haha.
Back on serve now, 5-4*.

Funny - I love no commentator.
They annoy me most of the time - I like the calm of the tennis, especially if you want it mainly in the background to dip in and out of.
But I agree a good commentator, when you're 100% watching the match, is great.
If only Katie could just get over the line now....

Don't know what happened there, the site randomly froze on me and I couldn't be bothered typing all that out again, haha.
Yeah, good for Katie to get the win, and not to be dragged into a fight. Her potential Q2 opponents have just gone into a third set.
I personally think 11pm is quite a nice time to watch tennis (especially in these WFH days). Jodie should be starting soon as Errani has just this moment lost on her court, but it's perhaps a bit too late to commit at this stage. I'll maybe give it the first set.
