Also for the love of God can we get rid of the ITF rankings?

I give them solely for W15s were there is often nothing else to differentiate the players or even to show why some players are seeded. They are clearlPeyer too, y irrelevant for anything higher than W15s.

I think that whoever posts the draws or results should do it as it best makes sense to them. So, sure smile

Fair dos ( although I personally take no notice whatsoever of ITF rankings ) and all the info Peter too, SC etc post is very much appreciated.

But the 'better' way to show seedings more separate from rankings was worth suggesting. While most of us would get what was meant by experience, it is probably best not to have to decipher code, particularly say for a newer forum member.

Yes good point.

Another relevant point - and I wonder if someone has looked into this - is: how many people access this site via a computer? Or via their phone?

I know SC has said clearly that she never, ever uses a mobile (for this) and therefore is not really interested in phone user problems.

But if you do use a phone for it, it's far harder to read (I find), especially if there's tons of numbers and info.

So more power to the argument, maybe, to highlight seeding (and possibly get rid of ITF rankings?)

Although I tend to use my computer so I'm good

And I hope that's easy enough to follow with so many names !

Interesting Beth not playing doubles in her last couple of 25ks.

Main draw is out. Lots of opportunities for the lower ranked girls to pick up 5 points here this week. Eden vs EWS is a bit unfortunate.

Battle of the 16 year olds in Eva vs Ella. I didn't realise Ella was the daughter of former footballer / manager Neil McDonald. Is she meant to be promising?

Hopefully the home qualifiers can disproportionately find their way into the two QvQ MD matches.

I'd had Ella down for a wildcard at Glasgow. I thought it'd be a 'Scottish' thing

But glad to see her here, why not.....

Sad that Lauryn has a hard ask....

But people like Eliz, Emily App, Ella, Eva (there's an E thing going on here :smle:), as well as Alice and Freya, have all got great chances to at least get on the board

Q's placed, and OOP out for tomorrow.

8 Brit's playing tomorrow, 7 on Weds. I can't see the full OOP, just from Google, and assuming play starts at 10am, Eliz vs Emily (their 9th meeting in recent times, 4-4 H2H) and LBJ are on 2nd at 11.30am (or following on), Alice vs Frey, Eva vs Ella, and Emma W vs the top seed on 3rd, and then Jasmine on 4th.

Danielle and Holly were paired together, Millie B also drew a(n overseas) qualifier, but Abigail drew the seeded Joanna Garland, but decent qual placings overall you'd say.

Thanks paulisi, I'll definitely look to tune into that one tomorrow then. I'll still be rooting for Eva though, despite Neil being a former Newcastle playing Geordie, and Carlisle manager smile

Hey Ace, she was in our player of the season vote due to her large number of tournament wins
