Eliz beat Emma in three sets. Millie is a double break down against the 6th seed.

Shame for Lauryn. Was a big opportunity after that superb win in round 1. Knutson is also a US college product (she then did a year at Durham it seems) but this was her first pro singles tournament in 7 years.

Well done Liz. This sort of chance to get big points in a weaker edition of a higher level event is so important. These 9 points should basically ensure she is direct into main draws for $15ks for example, which just make such a difference week to week.

I'll predict the women's will go to seeding now with Beth beating Eden in the final

Dani did well to go from a break down in the second to serve for it at *5-3, but had a shocker of a service game.

5-4*

Beth 6-1 *3-1 up

Millie well beaten 6-2 6-2 but she's taking away some wins and some points.

All went wrong for Dani unfortunately, broken to love again at *5-5 and goes out 6-2 7-5 but easily her biggest points haul.

Jasmine got it back on serve, but Beth has a break point at 4-3*, which she takes and serves out for a 6-1 6-3 win.

Gabriela was the 2021 British Universities champion. She played for the DL Sunderland team which reached the National League final-beating Emily Appleton of DL Raynes Park in the semi final shoot out.
