Should be a career high for Jodie if she can win,.

I think she may already be at a new career high but none of the live ranking sites are adding the correct points or dropping the correct points to know for sure.

Jodie's match should be starting shortly after midnight and it is being streamed.

The ITF site currently shows Jodie's match as first on Court 9 at NB 1pm local.

Traralgon is GMT+11 so that's 2 am GMT.

So should be on court in 15 minutes.

The weather forecast for Traralgon was for sunny intervals and showers for most of the day so I guess that is the reason for the 2 hour plus delay.

Off and running now.

1-1* with Jodie saving 2 BPs in her opening service game.

I'll leave it there and hope to return to good news.

Jodie broke to love for *2-1.

Broken to 15 after a couple of poor shots 2-2

Better play as she breaks again to 15 for *3-2

An ace and an unret 2nd as Jodie holds to 15 4-2

Backhand crosscourt winner from Jodie, then 2 errors from EB, a deep backhand that EB can't deal with, earns J another break 5-2

3 unreturned serves as J holds to 15 6-2

-------

Emina holds from 0-30. Jodie careless 2nd serve return into the net. *0-1

Stream froze. Jodie saves BP with a backhand down the line winner but a wild forehand gifts EB another chance that she takes, punishing a 2nd serve 0-2

Easy hold to love for Emina 0-3

Jodie holds to 30 1-3

Emina saves 2 BPs after errors earlier in the game. Jodie didn't do enough with a 2nd serve return 1-4

JB routine hold 2-4

After a super forehand crosscourt winner to set up BP, Jodie dumps a return in the net and screams in frustration. 2-5

An ace to finish a dominant game 3-5

EB volley wide, forehand error long, JB disputes call after E forehand surprisingly called on the line for a winner. A good return sets up 2BPs. E wins a rally after a 2nd serve. Then a forehand after her serve saves the 2nd. Jodie with a super forehand sets up another chance, that she takes with an aggressive backhand crosscourt *4-5

A poor f from J for 15-30 but she takes the next three points with a volley winner, then a b dtl, E poor error. 5-5

From 30-15, Jodie backhand crosscourt winner, E f wide, then a low return that E attempting to serve and volley, nets. 6-5

First serve goes missing. Broken to love. Awful 6-6

Jodie gets early mini break, then a poor error gives it away. E error for 3-1. J df 3-3. Another E error 5-3. Then 6-4. A poor backhand into the net immediately after her serve wastes MP 1. E saves MP 2 with an unreturned1st serve. Pattern of Jodie playing well to reach MP then unable to hold her nerve continues with MPs 3 and 4. Should do a lot more with a backhand but it is far too central, E soon takes control of the rally. She doesn't do enough with her return on MP 4 allowing Emina to attack. Shocking forehand error presents Emina with set point that she takes. 6-7

-------

Several impressive winners as J holds  1-0

A good return to start but E recovers 1-1

Another easy hold for Jodie 2-1

Wasn't paying attention 2-2

Jodie smash into the net, then a df for 30-30. Comes up with b winner then forehand winner to hold to 30 3-2

Jodie fights back to 40-40 but Emina comes up with a good first serve. 3-3

JB holds to 15. Not great from EB. 4-3

Backhand pass winner from Jodie. Emina aces. JB b cc winner. Than a chance on a running forehand pass but hits the net. Gets back to 40-40 then awful f error long. E holds 4-4

JB holds to 15. Some good shots from both 5-4

Jodie with an aggressive f then b cc winner for 15-30, E b error long 15-40. E big first serve saves MP. Stream freezes. 5-5

Emina with 2 BPs after errors from J. Nets b dtl. Big 1st serve saves the 2nd. Four times JB has game point. A wild f gives E another BP, saved with a good serve. Aggressive play earns Emina another, which she takes with a forehand pass winner 5-6

E with a nice lob to win the match 5-7

That's a pity. With no seeds through to the semis there was a good chance there for Jodie.

Didn't seem to affect Emina too badly.....

Tara and Emina now lead 7-5 3-1

Is that her third match today????

AND with that mammoth singles in there?
