Andrew Murray message boatd ?

I dont really think of this as the Andy Murray forum. To me , it is British tennis.net. By the way, what happened to the net picture at top of page?

Definitely should be formally known as the British Tennis Forum or some such

Forget about the name of the forum, I just wish one of the Mods would correct the title of this thread and remove the word "boatd". wink

Why dont we solve it by one of the official mods putting up some options in a poll, let it run for a month to ensure all relevant members get to see it , and we run with the winning name from that poll?

Andy is basically retired now or will be in about a fortnight - what is the mood, if any, on the board name?

When I search I find it via British Tennis Active Board - it has a web address British Tennis Active Board but says it is called the Andrew Murray Message Board?

Id be all up for it just being British Tennis Forum as above. And i see no good reason for leaving it as the Andy Murray Message Board anymore?

Agree with the suggestions for changing the name/top of page image, but I'm not sure any of the people with moderator/admin powers who are currently around have sufficient access privileges to do that. (I certainly remember that being an issue with the image at one point.)

It is the people that make it what it is - the name is pretty much irrelevant.

... and Andrew Murray Message Board does have an historical twang, even if it has been inaccurate for several years now.

Yes, I quite like the name - and believe in the adage of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

I don't think it matters if Andy retires

It's like the V&A, or a King Edward VI school, or the Elizabeth line (and a thousand and one other things)

The name can be a tribute or in recognition, rather than a describer of content

(I do rather miss the little picture there used to be though)

I would be happy to keep the name. After all, we have just renamed the POM award after Andy!

Feels like unless theres a massive push to change, theres no point in changing! Plus, as someone said, this was looked at before and I think was too hard to do?!
