Yeah, a disappointing end to a disappointing week, I was hoping at least one of them would have come through, but good luck to the finalists, they were invited and have made good use of their situation.
Nadia must have been filling in for Alice, and looks to have had a very good win over the week 1 winner, especially as she only won 4 games in their group match earlier in the week. I always say you can't tell with Nadia, and if you at her tennisexplorer, there are so many matches where she has either won or lost where the underdog was around 3 or 4/1 - www.tennisexplorer.com/player/rawson, but (without seeing the match), I wonder if Birmingham quals may have been on Arina's mind, especially with this just being a minor placement match.
Whatever the final outcome , Luke Johnson will top the league table at the end of week 2. With only 7 weeks and such spread fields , it is quite likely he will be in the finals.
I also think they misssed a trick. They could have split the season in two , had two four week blocks , and then two finals weeks. Say a Spring finals and a Fall Finals , as an example.

Just watching a bit of the 3rd / 4th playoff match and Abigail mentioned that Nadia plays Arina Vasilescu today, and I was like, again?, but just realised it was actually Arina's sister Miruna that Nadia beat yesterday (late replacement), so it looks like there will only be 5 GB players who end up with placings this week.
Anna vs Joanna looks like it could be heading into a MTB, 2-6 *5-3, with Anna serving for the 2nd set.
Edit - Joanna takes 3rd place, beating Anna 6-2 3-6 10-6. Possibly Birmingham quals for both of them tomorrow, unless Anna gets a MDWC.

Abigail's first finals on commentary now they've been moved to Saturday this year.
Why is that, her religion?
I think it is, she wouldnt commentate on Sundays. Jonathan Edwards used to take that view with his jumping but in later life changed his perspective and didnt Dan Walker, the BBC presenter also take that view, or maybe still does?

That's a pretty strong line-up for the men -
Lots of top-1000 ranked players, including Dan Cox, Charlie Broom, Dan Little, Julian Cash...
As well as ranked players just outside the top-1000 such as Alexis Canter, Oscar Weightman, Josh Paris.
Add to that Brandon Murphy and Samm Butler who both should be reasonably ranked.
And Will Jansen - our U18 national champion.
