thanks Emmsie and for anyone who lets us know how they have voted as it keeps it interesting.
The top 3 are now all within one vote. 25 votes placed. IF we end up with a tie at the top, the prize will be shared as happened with Cam and Hannah Klugman a few months back; a 3 way tie would be unprecedented of course!!
I voted for Beth in the end, mostly because her sudden upturn was so unexpected and a source of great pleasure to me. Any of the 3 of three front runners would be worthy winners. Maybe a tie would be a good outcome?
Why does the title say November AND December player of the month?
I've got Kristina P as a contender for December. And various others.
When do they get their chance? It can't be December if we're already voting the winner, based on nominations that only include the first week of December?
Or has this discussion been done already? In which case, sorry but stick December as separate and run it Nov- Nov, no?

Hi CD - it has always been planned to have one PoM vote for Nov and December right from season start. December is notoriously quiet and runs off into nothing, in essence there is only this current week that gets missed out and, being frank, I am not doing this over Xmas!!
We did it this way last year.
I guess two things:
1) very happy if you want to run your own PoM for December in early January, be my guest!!
2) as mentioned, I am stopping doing these anyway after this one, Indy is picking up the cudgel (or anyone else can volunteer) and the process can be genuinely re engineered
But the main reason is December is so quiet that it never made sense to separate it out and hence Nov/Dec get put together. And, remember, you have been nominating people in December for the joint Nov/Dec vote, more than anyone so sorry if you havent picked that up as we have been going along!
If you choose not to run your own December vote as a separate event, then last year we put anyone doing well in the latter part of December into the January vote - as you have many others in mind, perhaps that would be the neatest solution!
oh, and nominations included the first two weeks of December in what is in essence only a 3 week period anyway - and this week is particularly sparse, with juniors finished, wheelchairs finished, ATP and WTA now done, and only the odd ITF event around.
And apologies if I sound narked! I'm not really but this has always been the plan right from the start of the year!
But I've heard that Mrs Paskauskas is appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport ....
However, I think Mercedes are in before her, so her complaint may have to wait
PS Wasn't picking holes, just seeking clarification

and im sorry for reacting! Last year we put laggards from later December into January vote and I think that makes sense this time for folks like Kristina P...Indy can pick that one up!
If you think Kristina P and Roan Jones deserve a go in the wildcard vote , by the way, to at least give them a chance, there are 3-4 places (depending on Beth Grey's position) available in that and I would be happy to give them a shout, in fact it might be a neat solution? Who might you have in mind (noting that vote takes place this evening so we cant see the week out I am afraid?)
There's no need to change anything - Kristina and Roan don't deserve a wildcard into player of the year - that would be well overkill.
It's great as it is, I was just wondering how it worked (and, yes, there's something to be said for putting the Dec part into the next year - in the same way that the rankings table finishes now, and the points for the rest of Dec are automatically in next year's)
