A few men's matches got played today but no women's matches, so Eleanor will have to wait until tomorrow to start her campaign.

This event looks to be doomed. The forecast is heavy rain today, Saturday and Sunday. Thursday will be the only fine day and they haven't yet played Q2 or Q3. Nine of the R1 matches that don't involve qualifiers are listed to start as soon as the weather improves along with the Q2 matches.

Yes, Eleanor has ended up in the spot vacated by the top seed. The draw looks a bit unusual with 8 qualifiers, 2 lucky losers, 4 wild cards and a JE as well.

Eleanor is due to play her R1 match later today on the same court after a couple of other matches have finished. Eight women's R2 matches are also due to be played today. I assume Eleanor will not be asked to come out for a third time today. As the forecast is for heavy rain on Fri, Sat and Sun. that may be all of the action for this week.
