Harry W takes down the King of Israel, winning in three sets.

Given that the Israeli beat Henry Patten yesterday, that's a very nice result.

Well done, Harry

One of our 'other' 2001-ers - he's making his way very nicely, keep going, lad ......

Youll have to help CD! How does Roi Ginat become the King of Israel?!

Because he's Israeli? And because Roi means King in French?

(Yeah, I know, they don't speak French in Israel, but when do little things like that stand in the way ? )

Not high-tech, I'm afraid, but it's Chanukah as the moment, so friends tell me, so I thought it topical..... that's my excuse....

Are you Eddie Izzard in real life biggrin

That was someone I had to look up (apologies to Eddie.....)

I read on Wiki it's a woman whose "comedic style takes the form of rambling whimsical monologues and self-referential pantomime".

Well, thanks, Jon biggrin

Ha - I saw Eddie as a man back in the 90s at the old Town and Country CLub 2 at Highbury Corner (same bill as Jo Brand, and Sean Hughes (RIP), what a night. Loved her ever since (I dont she has transitioned although she has been through various gender identities, was at one time a transvestite man and now I think calls herself gender fluid. She also ran something like 43 marathons in 7 weeks with little training in an effort that was herculean).

Her comedy is off the wall and the wiki description serves it well. But Maybe the most famous piece she has done is the lego Darth Vader piece, take a look at this and tell me this isnt one of the funniest and cleverest things ever!

and a wider variety of her stuff

Just realised the top seed is ranked 644 - this must be one of the weakest M15 events of the season? I recall in past years, the ITF produced reports showing the ranking levels of each event, top seed, 8th seed and entry cut off. Not sure if that is still produced or made available but would be interesting to see how events stack up, this must be one of the weakest
