I take back my 'nobody' comments about Machac :::(((

Machac took the first set 6-2.

Dan goes 0-40 down in the first game of the 2nd set and breaks his racket. He gets it back to game point but is broken anyway.

Dan comes up with a couple of magical shots and breaks straight back. I can hear Liam loudly geeing him up.

Machac has started throwing in some slicey stuff, which I'm not sure is a good idea for him.

Dan 4-1* up in the 2nd.

Dan has just thrown in about as bad a game as you could ever dream to throw in while serving for the second set.

Youd like to think we can still win - should still win. But its going to be a battle

I am a bit behind the game here in terms of format and how many qualify.

Do we have to win the group to be assured of qualification ? I am looking at the current state of play on the Davis Cup website and I don't think their numbers are correct. They are currently saying that we have won 3 matches (not ties) and lost 1. I thought we were 2-2 having beaten the French 2-1 and then Evo losing the opener today.

I'm guessing that if we win the doubles now, my question becomes irrelevant.

Well played Cam and good luck to Joe/Neal.

Czech have bought in Machac for the doubles to play with Vesely. Joe fit enough to play with Neal.

If Germany beat Austria later we will play them on Tuesday which would be a rematch of the 2019 QF.
