I was wondering where I had seen Malene Helgo before. Turns out she and Fanny Ostland beat Beth and Liv back in May in Portugal. Her ranking of 539 includes 6 counters from 2019 so she's probably well under-ranked.

Jodie was very comfortable at 6-2 5-3 30-0* but has had a bit if an implosion. Couple of doubles serving for it and she's broken to 15.

Bates is with her this week ...

I think she really needs to think about her game in the close season. She can play brilliant stuff against much higher ranked players for a set which means the game is there, but mentally she seems very fragile. I'm watching her now getting totally down on herself and smashing balls against the wall. Also a change in coach may help as well.
