Well, I posted that it was a decent draw for Dani

So I've got to think it is certainly winnable for Sonay.....

But I wish I knew for certain who had the injury problem (or other problem?) yesterday....

Sonay has the first set 6-3 after going down 0-2 at the start.

A similar beginning to the second set 0-2

Nothing left in the draw to scare Sonay - must have a good chance of winning.

Very important for Sonay to bump up her ranking and see if she can get direct entry into GB 25k's in Jan. That would free up some wildcards.

The 4th seed has just gone out, so a lower-ranked player in the semis for Sonay. The second and third seeds are in the other half of the draw, and are both in deciding sets in their QF's.
A real chance for some ranking points.

Nina is still a junior, I think. (Born 2003? Definitely not older than 2002).

Got to about 150 or so in juniors.

Another of those French players who's played tons of tournaments, based largely in Tunisia.

Not a frightening prospect.

So far Sonay has lost 1 mach this year and that was a final, her win percentage was 93% before this match. The sooner she can get into 25k the better.
