Sorry, I asked first and looked afterwards!

www.lta.org.uk/globalassets/play/player-pathway/competitions-calendar/performance-competitions-calendar-pro-players.pdf

So the April / May schedule seems to be

UKPL Week 4 - venue tbd
April -2 ITF 25 weeks men and women at Nottingham (outdoor hard)
then a British Tour Premier, also at Nottingham
May - 2 more ITF 25 weeks for men and women

Presumably the UKPL week will therefore be in the Midlands also, but there are 6 weeks of pro tennis in that period centred around Nottingham

Just confirming that all 4 weeks of ITF events in April and May are at Nottingham; as well as the British Tour squeezed between them. And a UKPL with venue still tbd

The wiki pages for the Ilkley and Surbiton Trophies implies the mens prizeMoney will be euros 42500 this year, which will be a big drop- not sure if that is correct or not ? Nottingham is euros 64000

And all 4 mens are M25, with the womens W25. Still no M15 or 15 events.

Checking the history of the pages they've been wrong for men since the prize money was increased in 2017. The prize money for men has never been edited since the pages were first created.

There aren't any 15Ks planned. You can tell that from summary table on the wild card feed up pdf as it's headed W25/60/100 for women and M25 for men.

Talking of entry lists been hit, it'll be interesting to see how the womens entry at Ilkley is affected by the new WTA125 grass event in Italy that week.

I remember the Gaiba event was a lower level ITF a year or three back , good for them in getting a higher level event. 8 grass events on the main tour plus surbiton and Ilkley, so 10 womens grass events this year, which isnt too shoddy. Men also have 10 incl Wimbledon plus 1 more in Newport after Wimbledon.

I love grass so this is really great to see.

It looks like the Ilkley week has Berlin 500, Birmingham 250 and Gaiba 125 to compete with - so could be a lot of events chasing the players- Ilkley may still have the wildcard offer available for Wimbledon , which may help attract a few. Hard to see many top 100 players being there though !

Hmm, that's not ideal. It's going to be really hard to attract top 100 players as Jon says, plus even Birmingham being a 250 doesn't help now (it was a 500 the last time Ilkley was played) so those lower ranked, but wanting to stay in the UK before Wimbledon will be more likely to get in that event this year, even if it's just quals.

I've mentioned a few times, but 2018 was a really good line up. I went down for the QFs, and despite Andreescu (about 6 months before her rise) and Bencic already exiting by that stage, there was a good mix left - top 50 player in Kanepi, plus the likes of Jabeur and Alexandrova who were young / talented enough to be able to make an impact on the rankings in the coming years, British interest in Harriet, and also Yastremska who had just turned 18 and was ranked ca. 150. There was obviously controversy surrounding Dayana in later years with her ban, but at the time you thought you were potentially watching something special, and within only 4 months of getting to the Ilkley final, she had beaten the likes of Muguruza, Bencic, Collins and had secured her first WTA 250 title.

Just looking at the rankings of those 100-150 and the ages and status', if it's just the likes of Zhu, Gorgodze, Kawa, Jana, Kerkhove etc. making up most of the top seeds, some that you could easily see at W25s (and limited potential), then it's not going to be the most exciting line up. I guess there might be more chance for Brit's to make an impact and that would be good viewing, but for me, I'd definitely want either some established names, or those with the potential to do great things to make it worthwhile going, especially as while it is my most local 'bigger' event, it's not exactly on my doorstep, and you'd also need to commit (if you were going to make a long weekend of it) long before the entry lists came out.
