Still no 100k challengers

Really?! Thats a real shame. I was hoping to make it back to Ilkley

Interesting, 1 Challenger at Nottingham. Might just be that these are events linked to ATP/WTA tour level tournaments. Maybe other challengers will be added later/its 100/125. However in the main not sure if all the 100k challengers are that beneficial to the GB players. Only players in are mostly on WC.

No sign of any 15ks in GB yet.
Just the 3 25ks (Bath, Loughborough and Glasgow)on the ITF calendar plus rumours of Shrewbury which is not visible yet.

Can we have an event at the Wirral please?

Only 32 qualifying draws for M25s seems a bit rubbish.

Cant find any further detail at the moment but there are 4 25Ks each for men and women in GB starting Jan 10 and then into Feb (not all consecutive weeks though).

This link is the ITF media announcement.

Thanks Brittak - yes, seems strange they are in weeks 2,4 and then 6 and 7. Having back to back weeks tended to be the norm or may even have been a requirement in the past, partly to create little blocks to presumably save money for travelling etc.

Good to see they are at 25k level as well - presumably nothing to indicate locations yet?

Maybe to try and dissuade overseas players from playing, allowing more opportunities for British players if the rules allow it probably for the best. A UK Pro League Tournament between ITFs would be perfect. However would need to be 6 days to allow for qualifying on the Sunday, or a Sunday to Saturday.

Apparently this is exactly what is planned.

Further calendar of events showing uk pro tour on as well. Also 5-8 of the ITFs. Also interesting to see the note at the bottom that the trophy events have yet to be announced which is what the challenger level tournaments at Surbiton etc are normally called.

Doesnt Barnstaple get the odd one and I am sure I have seen Exeter and Taunton and Bath have events here and there - I think on the British Tour there are one or two, but ITF definitely missing
