No idea if it effects her game but Jodie seems to be one of the few players these days who never wears a visor or headband. Can't think of anyone else who regularly wears long earrings either.

Alize Cornet immediately comes to mind re: earrings

Play apparently abandoned for the day with one singles and two doubles not completed.

So Jodie plays her QF tomorrow, Lissey has her doubles SF and Emily her doubles QF and possibly SF as well.

QF:-Emily Appleton (GBR) / Yuriko Lily Miyazaki (JPN) CR651 (370+281) [2] LOST TO Ines Murta (POR) / Daniela Vismane (LAT) CR 892 (588+304) 6-4 (1)6-7 6-10

They were 1-5* down in the second set, recovered to *6-5 30-15, and then it went dowhill from there.

Jodie lost the last 8 games. She was level at 4-4, couldn't break at 30-30 in the next game, her usual frustration, and then double faulted on SP at 4-5. I didn't watch the second set, but I see she also DF'd on MP, although that was obviously not as crucial given how it panned out. 4-6 0-6.

I thought the time difference in their respective L16 matches yesterday may have helped Jodie, but not to be.

She was well beaten, didn't appear to give up yet after a call she questioned at game point at 4-4 in the first set she collapsed.

Surely the LTA should have brought in a sports psychologist to assist her by now?

Is this being completed tomorrow now?

Hard to tell. They have resumed play on court 2 in the last singles match. Lissey posted on Instagram - quite a downpour !
