Help!

EP, I'm equally and easily confused confuse since both the US college streams have 2022 dates - I've been posting in the 'other one'. I'm not gonna say what I'm known as in my family for similar sorts of happenings... biggrin

Makes sense to me, Tennpar. I'd have said that all current US college tennis should be in the 2021/22 thread, no?

Because that's the student year/academic year we're in.

And the 2022/23 thread is for signings for the academic year to come, not for actual tennis in this year.

But I just go with the flow too

 Lol smile

CD has qualified this thread for signings 2022/23 and the other thread for the 2022 chat

Dont think I have seen this on the thread.

Update on Ollie Okonkwo who was going to transfer to Drake when Iowa stopped mens tennis, but changed his mind - I am currently a student athlete at the University of Iowa studying biochemistry as my major. Despite the men's tennis team being discontinued after this semester, I will be staying to graduate from the University of Iowa and then transfer to continue my education.

Allegedly Ollie also underwent knee surgery, so hoping that went well and wishing him all the best when he transfers to Illinois  Fall 2022.

Lambda posted a very interesting point in the British tournaments thread, pointing out that the highest ranked US college player (men and women) who sign in, and providing they're in the top 100, will now be awarded a WC to the Wimbly qualis play-off event.

Top Mens and Womens recruiting classes 2022 with Brits joining their rosters (posted here as recruiting)

The Tennis Recruiting Network has again enlisted the aid of junior tennis experts to determine the top classes. Reporters, national and international tournament directors, referees, ranking chairmen, and writers from across the country have donated their time and talents to vote on these top classes.

#9 Yale - Will Jansen
#13 Dartmouth - Miles Groom
Dartmouth seems to lack some of the lustre in their game seen in the halcyon days when Chris Drake was the mens coach. Chris seemed to recruit well, bit of a a British pipeline including Charlie Broom and Paul Midgley. Chris moved to become head coach at Yale in June 2019
#18 San Diego State - Ollie Tarvet

There were no Brits in the womens top recruiting classes
