Harriet only has to serve one in four in dubs so it's not such a big thing. She didn't look overly tired in any other way. She's really good at doubles too. And her finger wasn't a serious thing - just needs to be treated properly.
Need a lie down. But she won. Could have done with another decent doubles player though...
Without Heather I'm not sure we've better if Harriet and Katie are good to go.
I'm far from convinced about our doubles specialists at the top level. And it seems nor is Anne given none picked for the team.
Though to just have Emma and Sonay as back-up is leaving us very bare in the doubles department.
Is it 4 or 5 maximum players in a team?
Has Tara ever played Fed/BJK Cup?
Yes Tara has played in the Fed Cup but back in 2014 so I doubt she will be called up again now. She played a doubles match against Hungary with Johanna Konta which they lost in 3 sets. When Jo was injured she played in the play-off singles against Austria for 9th to 12th place and she beat Tamira Pasazek 6-2 6-4 and that was the end of her Fed Cup career.
Most of the ties were one sided with teams winning 3-0. We went to a live doubles rubber. The USA - Ukraine match is also going a live doubles. Ukraine won both singles today with Shelby Rogers replacing Alison Riske for some reason or other.
Haven't yet seen Saturdays play, but pleased for Dart that she played, securing her first BJK Cup singles win. Vondrousova was just a class act, the whole tie it seems. A good effort from the GB team.
