Certainly our leading ranked doubles players are here in force with #2 Tara, 3 Sam, 4 Eden, 5 Beth, 6 Lissey, 8 Olivia and 9 Emily WS, most already at or quite close to their CHs.

Hoping for a big week for some of them.

Sensational win for Lissey and Olivia. Shame it's not worth more points. They looked very much out of it at a set and 1-4, saved points that would have left them down *2-5 and 3-5* too.

Excellent. Why it's always worth battling hard, can always turn around quickly especially with the doubles scoring system. Well done!

Looks like the lowest counter for any of our girls is 21, and generally 25 or more. So semi-finals required to improve (35 points)

 Yes, although I'm not a huge doubles fan, the success of this cohort in their doubles recently has had a real feelgood element to it, quite uplifting really smile

Beth involved in another long, late match. She has just leveled the match in a second set tie-break.

The scoreboard has been stuck on match point for five minutes, so fingers crossed, Beth has survived a comeback from Serban. Beth was 5-1 and serving, had several match points, but I presume she broke in the last game to take the set 6-4

 

Edit - the scoreboard has finally changed - and she did !

Strange final set with Beth winning 5 in a row, her opponent 4 in a row before Beth broke to finish it off.

Tara and Emina safely through 6-2 6-2. Second set could have been closer but they saved break points in their last two service games.

Hopefully they can take this title, Olivia and Lissey have helped them out by taking out the top seeds in this half.
