Week 43 - WTA250 Courmayeur, Italy Hard

Ah pity Tara couldn't follow up that very good QR1 win.

Hope she & Emina now get a good doubles draw.

Jabeur included. Upshot is lucky loser places now being drawn - can Tara get one ?

Not good but better than the last.

Lost 7-6(7) 7-6(6).

Louis Cayer would have a field day with these two, no positive energy, little communication or encouragement. At least I haven't seen them have a tiff yet, like I've seen with Conny.

Marrying your doubles partner perhaps not a good idea.

Both Tara and Emina are up significantly in singles and doubles this year.

At the levels they play at you can't expect to win every week. One good tournament a month will do.

As per spats, I can recall more than a few although they've avoided coming to blows.

There's plenty of non-married partners in doubles who give off bad vibes - I think it's easy to focus on that aspect of Tara and Emina, just because it's a bit novel.

(Also plenty of family relationship player-coaching set-ups, that also have major ups and downs, but no one's suggesting getting rid of those)

If they were playing 'badly' week in, week out, it'd be different. But they've have some good runs and wins too

No different to running any business with your partner.  On the whole it is a positive but as with all relationships, sometimes it's a nightmare.

It might be relevant to mention a tweet from Tara regarding misbehaviour from at least one of their opponents.

Watched their match at Portoroz and they had huge positive energy and good vibes. These things come and go I suppose.
