Freya did well to qualify and then win a match here but Matilda did even better and must be targeting top 500 next.smile

A QF win here for Matilda should ensure her of top 500 in Monday week's rankings.

There are currently just ten under 18s live ranked in the top 500. 16 yo Noskova who she has just beaten lies 2nd in that U18 list, a considerable distance behind Coco Gauff.

Yes she has targetted tournaments well recently but that's another really good win that suggests rising form and confidence.

Matilda has her name down for the W60 at Nantes next week but she is 48 on the Alts list at present.

Nice to see a bit of ambition. Sensible scheduling too.

Nantes is the week after next w/c 01 November. Matilda is Q1 on the list for the W25 at Kiryat Motzin in Israel next week so should be bumped up into the main draw smile

She should comfortably climb into the top 500, which should get him junior GS entries
