It appears that EWS has made the trip to Tenerife today - looking for an Alt place in the doubles ?

According to the ITF

Singles - Cincinatti in August, two qualifying and one main draw. Lost to Ash Barty, and four more since then.

Doubles - Wimbledon in July - two doubles. So six consecutive losses now.

Should have won a number of those matches. Her confidence must be on the floor.

I remember how well Heather played vs Barty. It's always frustrating but we know what can happen if she gets on a roll.

Sadly, she nearly had the 3rd but lost a close tie break.

Not really a surprise though is it? I mean she's been losing more often than not for the whole year. Currently I'd say she's very over ranked with most of her points coming from early 2020 plus around 140 from ITF tournaments in 2019 including one in May that year.

It isn't Heather's fault but frankly all ITF points from 2019 should come off now. Are they really going to leave them on for 3 years? Frankly ridiculous if so.

Heather is going to have to have a very decent first 3 months of 2022 or her ranking will plummet.

Tauson didn't even need to play well to win.

Very tough first set for Tara & Emina, overwhelmed by 24 points to 4.

Much more competitive second set, 26 points to 21. In the first 5 games of the set they won games 1 and 3 to 30 and love respectively and lost games 2, 4 and 5, all on the deuce point. They also lost the final game on the deuce point.
