Ms. Boulter has travelled a lot of miles in the last few week to lose three matches.

That's because Indian Wells isn't comlpete yet, so isn't listed on the WTA website list of player's matches. So here it is.

WTA1000 Indian Wells. W0/L1 for 2 points and $4,875; Lost to Brantmeier  WR695 (a bad loss)

So that's four losses and $13,790

Kontaveit won and keeps in tour finals running. I noticed Jabeur, Kontaveit and Badosa all play next week but Swiatek isnt - a risky strategy or calculated risk?

Muguruza taken a wild card into Cluj, alongside Badosa and Kontaveit and with Emma of course. swiatek sitting it out and hoping they dont all come past her. Unless she knows Barty wont play the Finals and is therefore safe.

Barty is out of wta finals, confirmed overnight. Muguruza and Swiatek are now confirmed as qualified with 2 of Badosa, Jabeur and Kontaveit to take the last 2 places.

In other news, the Cluj event in Romania that Emma is playing is behind closed doors following a surge in Covid cases in Romania.

Jabeur is playing Courmayer as top seed, Badosa and Kontaveit in Cluj. Kontaveit still in here in Moscow of course.

Expect Muguruza to withdraw from her wildcard to Cluj now shes confirmed ?

If Kontaveit fails to win Moscow though, I think she is also out and Badosa and Jabeur will qualify anyway without playing next week. So all eyes on Kontaveit today and tomorrow and then maybe a slew of withdrawals for next weeks events!  Badosa will have a winnable BJK/Fed Cup finals the week after next so cant see her playing Cluj unless she needs to, ditto Muguruza
