Fantastic to see Sonay have a good ITF run here. She's been on a few radars, particularly CD's, but she definitely seems to be one to keep an eye. Yes, it's just UKPL, but her 2021 record is actually amazing, just the 2 losses and one of those (vs Millie) was when she had already qualified from her group (and went on to take the title), and then a retirement at 4-6 vs Emily Ap, who she went on to comfortably beat twice later on.
She indirectly got a little bit of coverage two times recently in reference to Emma, but great to see her trying to make her own headlines.
She was a very good junior, but seemed to miss a lot of the junior season due to injury.
I saw her at the Wirral and she was a class above most of the juniors and she was highly rated then.
No surprise to me that the likes of Sonay and Anna Brogan have performed well after long absences on the senior ranks.

Good stuff.
Thanks, Ace, and - yes - good to see youngsters you've followed doing well.
Of course, the easy thing is to support most of them and then your picks always come through (coz you don't count the ones that you picked who then fall by the wayside). I always try and be clear about mine and the ones that don't make it, even though it comes round to bite you on the behind (For instance, I never rated Anton Mat as a youngster - and was wrong).
I was also never such a huge fan of Anna's - she plays/played very well, of course, but it didn't really stand out from the international crowd - although I could be well wrong, again By the time you get to this age, it's a lot to do with attitude etc.
But Sonay has a different style, that's quite unusual, a lot of racket head acceleration (like Ranah Stoiber, in that regard), often let's the ball drop first, quite a lot of wrist, uses her legs, and so it's very difficult to predict where the ball's going - it's interesting to watch.
